tank sealant?

very rusty petrol tank insides. NO sign of any previous coating.so what do I use?any recommendations greatfully received.dont want to be doing this job twice.thanks CARL

This method might be of some use to you. I recommend TAPOX for the final sealing coat.:

Having tried a number of different product I will go with Les's recommendation Tapox, easy to use and works well, for me it did anyway. But not cheap.
If there is life after Death whats the point of dying in the first place.

I used the electrolytic method also described in Real classic as "Petrol Tank Rust Removal". It took some time,
but did the job of removing the rust eventually. The size of the anode has an effect on the speed of removal , the
bigger the better. It was a small tank from another make which helped. The inside of the tank was fairly good in the
end, so I don't intend to coat it.
