Day 7 in the Big Brother house...

Post by Plugsnpoints »

I Fitted shiny new number plate to the renovated mudguard...

It took me ages to make sure the letters and numbers were positioned correctly using thin PVC lining tape and a steel rule! It's the beginning of the reassembly though, and it's a great distraction.

Has anyone else been finding motorcycle related jobs to do?

Not done any jobs in the garage, but found a pack of 25 masks unopened. So will put them to another use.

Finally got around to fixing a rattle in the fairing of my S.....i. The main fairing bracket had come loose so it is not only British bikes that vibrate bits loose.

Hi

Once we come out of the other side of this and time wasting isn't a bonus, Classic Transfers will supply letters and numbers correctly spaced on a clear mounting mask to suit your number plate design - saves faffing around with rulers and tape other than ensuring the mask is correctly aligned - I always buy my 'number plates' this way - highly recommended.

For my part, my restoration of an Ariel FH is coming to an end, (as planned in time for spring - didn't see this one coming :( ), so I will be tidying the garage, gardening and getting those jobs done that I should have done last year.

Today's main job is putting the finishing touches to the Burgess air filter for the FH.

Bugger! It took me half of Saturday doing those! I just looked at the Classic Transfer website and wish I'd seen them  ! They are the same price as my vinyl letters too!

Thanks Mick, I'll note it for future reference.
