Hi Peter,
I'm not sure if it's possible to tell AJS/Matchless or 250/35 from the frame number.
The engine number tells you which size it is. Info below...

Well I got an AJS 1960 with license, but wanted to know just for the record when it was an ajs or matchless
Can buy an engine from a friend and theres number 1960/8 .... in
Does that mean a 350(model 8) from 1960..

60/8 would mean it is a 1960 model 8 350 AJS engine.

Re: Lightweight 250 350
Thanks, but got 877 case and that must be 58...
I also thought 250 and 350 ar nearly the same.
There s a lot compltely different.
Cant use a lot of things 1 on 1
I thought it was easier to look for parts if it fits, but this gonna be a hell of a job.....
But first Im gonna be busy cleaning those 17" DUNLOP rims
