Jampot rebuild

Post by Samball91 »

Hi guys!
Ok so I'm after a bit of help...
Abit of background on my love of the old jammy singles first though..
Basically I'm a 26 year old lad, got my g80 at the age of 18, love the old troublemakers that much that I ended up buying a second bike (16M) just recently...
Anyways after a little issue with the crank pin on the g80 (ouch) I have spent every spare second getting her back on the road (much to my girlfriends delight!!!)
I have come to realise that the jampot speed some love...
Now... I know that they are repairable l, and to be honest I am sure it's well within my capabilities.. and some of the experienced 'old timers' (in the politest way possible) put great effort into encouraging me to do them myself... however,
Does anybody know of someone that might repair them?
If so I would really appreciate some contact details..
Thanks guys
Sam

Also are there any like minded jampot enthusiasts from the Nottingham area on here??
I've been a member of the club for a while but might be nice to meet up for a ride etc!!?

Hi,
Google 'rebuild those leaky jampots'..
Nice article on doing them, you may feel it's a job you can tackle .
Regards kk
Top tip - if it needs more than 2 bolts to hold it on, its probably important...
