1956 G80S - currently Champion N5C - used to be just N5. Did tinker with NGK for a while but wasn't happy.

1955 Matchless G80S. Champion N5. Have also used an NGK BP6E. No problem with either.
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is.

Re: Plug type poll.
Here are my current choices, although after many years of good service I am becoming somewhat disillusioned with NGK plugs. Champion, it would appear, are in short supply but this is expected to improve later this year, if rumour on the internet is to be believed!
1946 AJS Model 18. NGK B5HS.
1950 AJS Model 31 race outfit. Big valves, single carb (389), open exhaust (2 separate open pipes of tuned length), gas flowed etc. NGK B6ES or Champion N5C.
1954 Matchless G80. NGK B6ES.
1955 G9 with later CSR cams, siamese exhaust, free flow 'silencer' and inlet big valves. NGK B6ES.
Cheers, Bob.

Re: Plug type poll.
Mark can you check that, your '47 AJS should have an iron head and use short reach plugs, B6HS, or B7HS.
Cheers Dave.

Re: Plug type poll.
Good comment Dave, don't want to list a plug for a bike that may have non standard parts. We should disregard one offs and specials. Also where a plug is listed for any single, this must also show iron or alloy head.
