VERY nice Colin. Just shows what can be achieved by putting in the hours.
So......as Paul asked, how do you manage to find them?

Re: My Pride and Joy
my bitsa is a tad different I can see now, it has a shortstroke engine and amc box, the footrests are comp type but probably not the correct ones for the frame which originally was a '54 spring twin there is just insufficient room over the top to allow a pipe to run there, surprisingly when I originally built the frame up the rear subframe was distorted so a replacement sought and one kindly donated by Mickydippin, because I wanted the upswept 'zorst I also had to make and weld a small bracket to the o/s frame rail to take the silencer, she has done the end to end, Ireland and the continent a few times her only real fault is that she is bloody incontinent., kind regards

Richard
I have one leak at the moment from the clutch cover, but it's early days.
"Where do I find these gems" well I have bought motorcycles locally and sometimes take a gamble on the bay like this one was, but I knew the seller having bought from him before. His name is Richard Gaunt a fellow member of this club, he trades under the name DR Classics and his descriptions of the bikes are spot on, I saw it on the bay and wanted it and won it, I have no connection with DR Classics just a happy customer.
I have added a photo of the bike as I bought it, some will say I have ruined the originality of the bike but that was my choice and the bike can be ridden now and for many years to come, I don't do this to make money but just for the pleasure I get from working on the bike and riding it.
