27th Exe Valley Run

Post by oldandsmelly »

Greetings all

On Sunday 1 July the Exeter British Motorcycle club (of which I'm lucky to be a member) is holding its annual organised run through some of the leafy roads of Devon. The run starts at Broadclyst and wiggles to Cullumpton for a coffee / breakfast stop then on to the Anchor inn at Exebridge for lunch. The return route is down the lovely Exe valley and via Killerton (national trust) back to Broadclyst for a raffle and prize presentations - although my Model 31 won't be troubling any of the judges.

The run is marshalled so you don't need to know the area. The only stipulation is a British bike - it can be anything from a Hinkley Triumph to a prewar Matchless. We get a number of AJS / Matchless bikes on the run usually but it would be great to get a few more. It is'nt a fast run and many lightweights do it including at least one Bantam.

If anyone is interested, send me a PM and I'll let you have an entry form which has more details on it.

cheers
Bruce
