Well investigations into the float chamber tonight didn't reveal anything obvious but nothing is spouting from the vent holes at present! Needle was straight, but worn but I gave it a good polish with Solvol. Also put a very small radius on the top face of the needle valve seat just to avoid any potential ‘hang up' of the needle if somehow the needle got angled slightly. Also removed some corrosion crud on the inside of the float chamber which may have caught on float. Road test this weekend will probably reveal all.
