500cc or 350cc

How can I tell if my g3l is 500cc or 350 without removing the head l was told it may be 500cc

The barrel fins are wider on a 500. have a look at the photo section and compare what you have. or take a photo and post it here. It obvious when you have compared a few

The o.d. of my1954 G3LS zorst pipe at the cyl head is 1.5". The 500 is larger............

To save any confusion or incorrect information it would be help if you completed your Profile with details of your bike; particularly its year and specific model. Is it actually a Teledraulic fork, rigid framed G3L?).

ahhhh, poor little 350 is all lonely without a bike to be in. send it down and i will make it happy and put a lid on him

I thought everybody gave their bikes names... :D
My 500 AJS is "Bess", my Bonneville is "Daisy", my Tiger 90 is "Lilly" (Tigerlilly... geddit? Oh well, please yourself) and the G3 is "Alice" named after my mum!!

'Alice' is the song by 'Smokie' (how appropriate to our bikes) that was traditionally played by live groups at all Jampot rallies with 'us' singing along with inebriated gusto after considerable refreshment............and the chance to shout a very rude word in the chorus :oops:
