NEC motorcycle show.

Post by alanjennings »

Off shortly on my model 20, a bit chilly, 5 degrees but us chaps are hard!! It 's free covered guarded parking on a bike or I believe £13 to park a car! No contest then. Hope to find the perfect bike- been looking for nearly 60 years! :D

Try and get some feed back form other clubs that are there you never know we may just go back there in 2019.

Very quiet at the show, I believe people are being careful perhaps because of political uncertainty? I did not see one club stand!!

So no classic clubs? We're Triumph Owers Clud there on the back of new brand
and was the national motor museum there with classic bikes?

Show guides are no longer free,if anyone else goes and buys one that will give the definitive list! Whether it is worth having a club stand or not is debatable.

In the list of exhibitors I see the Triumph OC , Honda OC, Harley OC but no Norton OC, The National Motorcycle Museum is there as well. That's probably no more or less than there has been in the past. If we could tie up with AJS Andover with a couple of moderns to exhibit along with the oldies I believe it would be a worthwhile venture. It certainly was at the Ardingly show, the current models really went down well.

Trick would be to get them to underwrite our show stand...
