My New Invention!

Post by spookefoote1956 »

Behold my new invention. I have always had trouble getting the beast onto the centre stand. Partly because of my vast build but mainly because of the lack of grabbing opportunities. I was able to pull from the lower tank fixing to get it onto the stand but the reverse required pulling on the rear mudguard. Being ally this was not ideal as it meant that eventual damage was inevitable.

I experimented with various ideas but have settled on my latest creation. I call it The Spookefoote Help You Get Your Bike on Its Stand Device. It's a catchy name, I know. It had to be inexpensive and easy to use. I found a bit of angle iron 40 x 20 and purchased a pair of replacement pillion rests for something called a Hondo or was it Yamahoo? Drilled a couple of holes and expertly applied some black paint. It's fastened via the seat bolt and works a treat.

This does however leave me with a spare foot rest!

I also have another invention called the Tellingphone. It will enable people to communicate over distances in excess of 20 yds. Whadaya think of that then?

I'm not sure that the string will stretch that far and they would have to supply their own tin can!

Yes its a grand idea I did the same on a Cpl of heavyweights I had a few years ago with old pillion footrests that was sitting around in my shed that was before the new updated stands came up for sale on the forum.

Lift with your knees! Best of all get a new centre stand (creep creep and might I add smarm, smarm) the bike puts itself onto it! Brilliant idea the handle my bike has one professionally made and together with the new stand makes life a doddle herniawise.

You're too late, it's been invented before and upgraded. Please see (Alternative) Cyber AGM. http://www.jampot.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=185 I wonder what happened to all those people?
