I wish these dealers would do their homework and not just think a bike looks nice so it is correct and worth £6000.00
It has the wrong mudguards wrong cylinder heads, top fork nuts look homemade, there must be more,

Quite a price tag for a bitsa Roy, I was thinking if its been built to a good standard and not bodged its not a bad looking bike to have and use but still overpriced shifter

What's that rail thingy running along the underside of the seat on the LH side? My 1960 Model 31 hasn't got that. (Sudden worrying thought; perhaps it Should have that!).

I wondered about that. It must be a lifting handle. It curves out at the front so would be in the right place.

That sounds right. It looks quite well done, but is perhaps a bit overkill? Still they are quite heavy bikes - perhaps that's the reason for the safety helmet in the last pic. Health & safety and all that...

The nut is missing from the centre of the chaincase, and there is evidence of something dripping into the LH downpipe. It is prettier than my bike though.

I am seriously contemplating the purchases of the 31 if the price was right, I moved house late last year and regrettably got rid of my 16ms G2 & model 20 thinking I would have no room for them now after getting settled in I have a little space for another bike. And I would like to know if any of the members know or have any information on its past. I really like the look of it.

1953 AJS 16MS, 1939 BSA 250 and a 1/3 scale Sopwith Triplane but that's another story .....
