Its down in good ol' Southend on sea now so some distance from you. It was surprising how many local AJS/Matchless bikes came out of the woodwork during the last meet. The real surprise was that, apart from mine, 3 other lightweights are owned by 2 other people and all a stones throw from me !!

Digging up some early club history here for a spread sheet of club committee people. Up to 1961 HQ had just an Hon, Gen. Secretary. Branches had increased to South Eastern, South Essex, West Herts, Medway and N. London. Each branch had a President and committee. HQ will soon see a PRO joining the Hon Gen Secretary. So a single main club committee is starting to evolve. Once the main committee is established, only those club peoples names recorded, will appear in the club people spread sheet.

Rob, it was Ken Smith who started the British Owners Club Essex, not Dick.
