Hello,
What are the indications (I think the setting of the ignition advance) and how to use it during adjustment because when the automatic feed pinion is in place, we do not see them anymore.

Rudelan I think that these markings are for use with the SR1 when it is used on a stationary engine. As you say you cannot see it once you put the advance/retard gear on the shaft and you cannot time the magneto without putting the gear on. Main thing is to jam the auto advance fully advanced before setting it to 1/2 inch BEFORE TDC (not after as I recently did cause it wont start ) and ignore these markings.

It's intended to set the lag angle in case you use an impulse starter on the SR1. I have never seen such a device.
