Headlamp Ears

Post by Stan Palmer »

No Headlamp Ears ? Trying to work out why this set of 1-1/8 fork crowns doesn't have ears. It looks like an early fifties, colour seems to be AFS. I cant see how the headlamp would be held on as there is nowhere for stays to land.

Hadn't thought of that. The trials bikes had an alloy top yoke but probably the scramblers had steel and no headlight. So I think you cracked it. Wonder why they are green . No sign of any black paint under. Thanks for your help. Stan

Stan, I wondered about the green as well, maybe there is another explanation, I thought you would of thought of the scramblers, I had to buy some ears from the part shop to add my headlight, best wishes Cliff
