Whoops

Post by mjf65 »

A nice Sunday spin ended up with a trip to Stroud A&E yesterday. Due to a lack of judgement on my part I managed to go into a corner far too quickly and had to lay the bike down to avoid a field gatepost. I'm too used to discs and ABS and didn't modify my riding style. Anyway the good news is nothing broken on me but very painful today with brusing and a few grazes. Looks like I'll need a new headlamp unit and the chrome rim but the lamp survived and the footpegs should straighten out. The bike is made of tougher stuff than me.

That'll learn me! :headbang:

At least you're (relatively) OK, and the bike has only minor damage.

The good news is, I bet you never do it again!

We've all done daft things, and after all it's just a piece of metal that can be replaced. It's good news you're alright apart from a few bumps and bruises :)

I'm probably not alone in noticing that many 'A' roads, dual carriageways and town by-passes have filling stations sited at roundabouts. Drivers of diesel-engined white vans and utility vehicles invariably brim their tank on the company account and then it sloshes out on the roundabout.

Glad you got away fairly lightly Michael.

You were warned.......... ;)
