Petrol Tank Repairs

Post by GSM »

Any recommendations for petrol tank repairs? I'm looking for somebody that can cut out the bad metal and then weld or braze in new. The tank is a steel comp type and it has some pinholes along the bottom edge.

What I did with mine was lead load it with proper body repair lead. It worked a treat, plus the fact as I used a large soldering iron there was no flame involved,

If it's just a small repair I'd try that. Just make sure everything is spotlessly clean and fluxed. :)

Looking for a proper repair. It has been leaded before, but I now have issues with the flux causing the paint t lift.

It needs more than dents removing.
