Knew a bloke once, he would take his piles ointment orally. Last I heard he could only eat jelly beans, but he can whistle real good.

I use Mothers aluminium polish, followed by a silver wadding polish. Mirror finish guaranteed.

Hi Chappers
Which wadding polish do you prefer?
By way of an experiment I have just bought:
Original Autosol
Autosol Aluminium
Mother's Mag and Aluminium
Peek Metal Cleaner
I'm going to do a comparison test and will report the results later, happy to add a wadding finish to the list.
Regards Mick

Re: Today I have mostly been
I use Silvo wadding.
For the full, get to mirror finish of an old part with pitting:
800 wet/ dry
2500 wet/dry
Buffing wheel with red polish
Mothers polish
Finish off with a wadding (silvo/ brasso)

Hi Mick, another to add to the list that gives a good finish on aluminium is Autoglym Metal Polish, you may run out of things to polish at this rate!Mick D wrote:Hi Chappers

Re: Today I have mostly been
Today I have mostly been at the VMCC NW show at Rainford. Very wet day but some interesting vehicles caught my eye. An NSU Quickly in mint green and a Bantam trials with a Sunbeam (BSA) scooter engine. I know, I said the "S" word but even I have to admit it looked good. Originally built by Odgie.

Hey Spooky - nothing wrong with Sunbeams. Here's mine at a local show last year picking up the silverware. The pre war class was also won by a Sunbeam.spookefoote1956 wrote:Today I have mostly been at the VMCC NW show at Rainford. Very wet day but some interesting vehicles caught my eye. Absolutely right Jim. Nothing wrong at all with Sunbeams, love 'em. It was the other "s" I was referring to i.e. parka trolley!
