I'm in the process of replacing the old tyres on the G80CS and I happened to notice that the Dunlop rims are stamped "AMC 022" on the WM1 - 21 inch front rim and "AMC 025" on the WM3 - 19 inch rear rim. Does that relate specifically to our AMC machines somehow or is it just something that Dunlop stamps on all their rims?

Re: Dunlop rim question.
Just a guess, but I believe that the spoking ie spacing and angle etc. is specific to the AMC hubs.

Re: Dunlop rim question.
I need to rebuild wheels for my 1964 G80CS and have a similar question.
021151 front rim (AMC22?) is specified as 2.25x21"
021817 rear rim (AMC25) is specified as 3.0x19"
I guess the specified widths refer to the flange width, contrary to today's measure of the inside width.
For instance, a WM3 rim has a flange width of 76mm (that's close to 3") and the flange width of a WM1 rim is 59mm (2.32").
For 1964, another front rim was specified - 029309. Am I correct assuming this rim is wider than 021151, i.e., a WM2 rim?
The P11 had effectively a G80CS front end, but was specified with a WM2x19 rim.
