Steering locks

Post by mikeydpippin »

I see the Jampot spares has no stock of the Matchless steering locks, anyone on a 12week isolation looking for a project ? maybe sell to the club.
Or any other parts that could benefit the spares scheme?

Somewhere on this forum is a post about making your own with a slotted strip of metal and a padlock

I remember seeing that and now wonder why I didn't do it - or where it was!

As it was the original factory approach it would probably cover insurance requirements and easier to carry than present arrrangement - an old fashioned hardware shop gate chain and padlock that I curently use. Irony is, the padlock is a good one.

I'll watch this space and bookmark the topic if someone finds the details.
