Reminds me of a story my grandfather told me many years ago. The year was 1958 and the world expo was being held in Brussels (when the atomium was build). A time where gasoline lawnmowers where being taken in massproduction. He started visiting the expo of brussels to take drawings of the new revelation that was being shown for the first time ever, the lawnmower. He was given an old DKW motorcycle by a pastor from the priory of postel and made his own gasoline driven lawnmower, the entire street would come and look at what he made. My grandfather passed away this January, luckily dodging the corona virus in that way. But the lawnmower still stands somewhere in the back of my shed. I try to take a picture of it when I get home. my grandmother always said he looked like he had spend the day in a coalmine when he used his dyi mower :D
