I've tried pushing, grunting and shoving then had to
walk away from them.
I have fitted them before but am struggling fitting new footpeg rubbers. They trap air as I slide them half way, then won't go on any further. I didn't want to drill a tiny hole in the end to let air escape, but had thought of it.
I seem to remember using hairspray before as it helps and then sets to stop them sliding off.
Have any of you helpful people got any helpful tips in regard to the aforementioned matter please?
Thank you,
Andy

Whack mine with a club hammer, that works.

Have to say, only what you've rejected. Oh, possibly dunking them in hot water?
Long time since I did it.

Pour a small amount of white spirit in the hole and you'll find that it should slide on and disperse the air at the same time. The spirit should dissolve overnight.

leave in a container of water on the cooker until uncomfortably hot (handle with site gloves), washing up liquid on the foot peg and shove them on, last bit hit with a soft hammer to send home. Don't keep hitting once home or else they split (I know this).
