What a great fella to deal with.
During lockdown I have been getting on with things. Yesterday my wheels arrived.
If you want wheels building (all vehicle types) with care and passion, I'd recommend Chris Willis any day.
I went for British chrome rims with stainless spokes. Note the standard of polishing too.
The attention to detail is spot on. A nice fella to deal with.
I have no connection with Willis Wheels, just speak as I find.

Very shiny! Polished the wheels and hubs on my " 650" the other day, but not to that standard. When my sore fingers have recovered I will start again!

Agree very nice wheel build for me too. Unfortunately as Chris predicted, having viewed the donor bike at a Kempton show, it now makes the rest of the bike look very shabby!

Re: What a great fella to deal with.
I got my rubber mallet and a short piece of 2x1 out this afternoon. Not a tyre lever in sight as I was taught the proper way by my old man.
A bit of French chalk and tyre lube and a bit of grunting I refitted the tyres with new rim tapes and tubes.
I'd never used tyre soap before and it was so much easier and cleaner than Fairy liquid (which I've always used in the past). Plus it won't rot the rim.
Very satisfying it was too!

Chris is a mate of mine and did the wheels for my little Beeza last year - lovely job. As others have said, they show the rest of the bike up now!

Roy tell Chris to stop getting you to advertise for him and get on with putting an advert in the mag. I will even offer a discount for new advertisers during lockdownG15 Roy wrote:Chirs is one of the East London & Essex members and is dedicated to offer the best service out there so needs all your support and offers a discount to members.

Clive, as you know the best advertising is word of mouth and recommendations.
He doesn't need to advertise.
