The Clubs Dating service & DVLA
From the DVLA web site.
Guidance
DVLA Coronavirus (COVID-19) update
Please use our online services, which are all currently available. Please do not send in any paper applications until further notice.
So we are not able to deal with any V765 applicationsso please don't send them to me. I would also advise to not sending off any age related applications as they will for sure get lost in the system.

Oh dear I sent mine off before seeing the website statement. One month insurance on frame number has now expired so they are sure to reject it when they eventually come to it. Not sure how DVLA having no paper applications quite fits with car showrooms reopening on 1st June but perhaps they are able to do it all on line to get a new car registered.

Re: The Clubs Dating service & DVLA
I just got my 1967 G12 a couple of weeks ago with no registration number or paperwork. I'm desperate to get it registered so I can insure it. The club registration officer says basically no chance but no further info.
Anyone any ideas?
Thanks and regards,
Cootsy (Tony).

You can insure the bike on just the frame number.
I use Peter James Insurance.

You can insure it on the frame number, but only for a month at a time. That's a very late G12. We've one in our (North West) section but it's a 1966.

Hi
I submitted a SORN application on the 10th of March - nothing heard to date so don't hold your breath.
Don't know whether your bike will need to be inspected as part of the registration process, (mine had to be), but if this is the case you may be able to have this performed whilst complying with social distancing etc.
Regards Mick

The DVLC may be on a go slow at the moment, but their is paperwork that can be done in the meantime and maybe a club inspection of your bike to get the ball rolling. Its not a 5 minute job doing this anymore. lots of hoops to jump through.

Thanks to all for the info and the welcome. I'll keep digging and preparing the bike for the road as best I can.
Ps. I need a workshop/owners manual, nothing showing on the AMOC spares site.
Cheers.
