Afternoon all, a bit of a general enquiry. Is there anyone out there who could shed some light on the "differences" in Monobloc carbs.
I have a 389/241 fitted to my G5 and the original handbook suggests a 389/42 was fitted when new. All jets etc are correct and since many other parts seem generic can anyone explain the difference in the stampings or point me to where I can find out?
Many thanks
Andy

Re: Monobloc codes
389 is the carb type and the / suffix is the ref to how it's set up (jets, needle and slide).

389/241 was originally fitted to Norton Atlas and Matchless G15, both 750cc twin carbed.
