Morning All
I've returned to the font of all AMC knowledge, even paying some money for the privilege. My non-standard Matchless 500 had a few mechanical problems, so it sat at the back of shed for many months. Now operational again, a fine way to travel deserted English country lanes.

I've just had Resto Ray refit the handlebar adaptation and bleed the brakes on my Mutchless (impossible one-handed) so I'll be out this afternoon round deserted lanes for the first time this year.

Re: Morning All
Ta Alan. The day didn't start well because after riding the bike down the garden without any brakes yet I stopped to negotiate the back gate but I toppled over and fell against a pair of full water butts. They leaned apart from each other and hanging on to the 'bars I fell sideways between them. After I had passed between them they closed up, trapping me behind them and against the wall with half a gallon of rainwater slopped down the back of my neck and the throttle wide open. Fortunately, upon hearing the screaming engine the young lady next door came out and quite unsurprised at my predicament (all the neighbours know me well) managed to pull me out from between the water butts. My son then arrived to ride it to Ray's to get the brake adaptation fitted.alanjennings wrote:Be careful Sprid! They say the accident rate has just shot up as people get back on the road!

Well you'll know gorgeous she is Thrifty as you've just seen her when you dropped by on your G15CSR having yet again (yet again!) changed the carb jets.g80csp11 wrote:The things Nev does to get the attention of the very much younger neighbor . a change from his grab a granny trips to France
Anyway I doubt she'd be interested in your Poundshop champagne.

When I reach middle age Spriddler, I hope that I can entice a young(er) woman to pull me when required.
