Hello gents,
My H.T. leads are fitted directly in the mag, i.e. without brass washer, solder, et c.
Are the "brass screw in ends" used to fit leads in distributors suitable for this use ?
What is the best way to avoid issues ?
Kind regards.

It will be interesting to hear the replies to this question. I usually use the split brass washer with bared cable twisted through it. On my present mag someone had soldered brass washers to the cable ends. Seems to work but I'm not sure it's ideal.

I use split washers, bared end and soldered when possible. Split washers aren't always to hand, when I use brass small ones supplied often with the acorn nuts and solder. I believe in solder so cables stay put, but some prefer splayed bare wire. As long as it holds together, all should be good!

Definitely split washers on all 3 of mine, a few years ago I bought a job lot of magneto parts and split washers were amongst the parts, so I always have one if I need it.
