Cammy AJS

Post by Hervé Saigne. »

Who was the real designer of the 1927 cammy AJS of Wolverhampton ?
In some books (AJS the strory of a great motorcycle) it is Phil Walker.
But in another source (Motor cycling 1958, sport machine souvenir), Phil Walker was at the same date working for the AMC parent company; Harry Collier and son.
Also, his name is not quote in the book "AJS of Wolverhampton !
What the date of the Phil walker death?
Allan Johncock.

Herve;
Greetings from Texas. I have a 1954 7R, 1959 G50, and 1972 Seeley G50. I have located a 1938 AJS 7R. I did not know of this Prewar version. It has the oil pumo on the outside of the timing case like a R7. I am trying to determine desirability/value so I can make an offer. The bike is in pristine restored condition. Can you kindly offer an opinion.
Regards
