Welding in or around Warwick

Post by helloluketurner »

Image

My G9 has developed a crack on the underside of the petrol tank.

I'm relatively new to Warwick/Leamington so haven't found my feet with nearby classic garages etc.

Does anyone know a welder who can patch me up?

Cheers.

Welding petrol tanks is a specialised and risky affair due to the retained petrol fumes in the tank. You need someone who has done this before overwise things could go with a bang!

Aye, I haven't found anyone local that I trust.

I'm in talks with MTS in Milton Keynes at the minute.

Fingers crossed for a reasonable quote..

MTS came back with a daft quote but user Bitza suggested http://lewistempleton.co.uk who will now be receiving my tank for repair this week.

Cheers.
