Re: ww2 g3l
Welcome to the Forums Richard.
You haven't put any details of your bike on your Profile so we don't know what year it is. I assume it's 1941 but it could be later and claimed to be a genuine WW2 bike. (Yes, it does happen).
All the techy info on the WW2 produced G3 and G3L can be found in the Army Workshop Manual here:

This is an extract from page 43...
(Whoops, I moved the clip. Here it is again)...
Not sure where you'd get one though as I've not had much to do with WD G3's.
Later.....
There's an original (rough) one in Poland on eBay at the mo for £49....

Re: ww2 g3l
There were very few WD G3's I only see 1936 & 1939 WD G3's then 1940 G3WO and then 1941 G3L But, all engines for WD G3L had the date prefix. 41. It is possible to tell what year a WD bike was manufactured by frame and engine numbers. After 5 years war history plus rebuilds when sold off after the war, very few bikes may be found with an engine and frame number from the same WO contract. 36 to 49 control box used was MCR1 type, WD and up to 49 was MCR1 type MT4/LU/33020A, Replica's can be found on e bay that should do the job.
