Steering damper

Hi can any one post a photo of bottom of damper mine seems to be missing somthing

Looking at the picture you're only missing friction discs which are available from either the club or AMC classic spares. It's also not connected correctly, the cranked piece is attached to the frame lug and the straight leg should be bolted to a cast and threaded lug on the underside of the bottom yolk. Between the 2 plates go the friction discs.

Check the parts you have against the parts list. Note what Rob has said. Where discs are mentioned the parts list will state 2 off.

Can't make out in picture what the two items under the spring are
Thanks for all the replies there are two discs in my photo just hard to see
So it looks like I just need to fit it all correctly

I think you're referring to.....

Cap for top of steering stem. 010808

Stem nut (replaces existing domed nut). 021811

See Rob's extract from the Parts List.
