What thread are the front brake arm bolts

Post by Radcap »

I've lost my front brake arm bolts that hold the arm and front mudgard bolts to the front forks .
It's a 1950 18 c.
I've had a look on here and the parts manual ? There are 4 in total 2 on one that secure the front mudgard to the fork sliders and 2 that secure the front mudgard and the front brake stay arm .
I could possibly get them from The spares dept but I could possibly get them from a local engineers.
Are they a BA thread or cycle thread. And what size and length . The post from the spares dept would be more than the bolts??
Thanks

Hi Steve,
send for them to the spares dept. They aren't bolts. They're short studs, 5/16" BSF (into the alloy) X 5/16" cycle (for the cycle thread nut). On the other side the mudguard has 2 bolts. 5/16" BSF.
Cheers Dave.
