18s engine shock absorber nut

Post by magpie »

Hi all
how do i remove the shock absorber nut to allow me to replace the front sprocket?
i have a sidecar fitted, and the sidecar frame restricts the amount of travel for the
socket t bar. Also is the nut R or LH thread.

Hi

Hard to advise with regard to the sidecar obstruction, but put the bike in fourth, get someone to apply the rear brake and undo the nut, which is a normal RH thread. You may find it easier to use a combination spanner which you can 'shock' with a hammer.

Hi Mick
thanks for the help, will give it a go.
on close inspection , i could see that it was RH thread
but the nut was almost flush. Thanks again
