Hello Mickey,
I've had similar problem with my '59 AFS G3 (backfiring on kickover)
traced to faulty A/R mechanism and worn pivot pins; the bob weights
had started to erode the timing chest !
After an unsuccessful search through usual suppliers, with umpteen
phone calls, a local Section member gave me his disused unit.
You are right, this is a great Club !
