Flat Tank Shape

Post by spookefoote1956 »

Some of you may well have been following my exploits in the Garage section regarding my modern flat tank build. I'm not 100% certain that I like the shape of the fuel tank with it being rather wide (measurements taken from K8 tank) at the front. The MDF jig has not been completed yet so alterations can still be made.

I'm seeking opinions as to whether I should stick with the shape as it is or go for a more rectangular cuboid with rear slope look. I realise that this would not be in the style of a K8 but may be more suitable.

Please give me your opinions as they are of great value to me.

Cheers, Chris

If you are just making a Flat tank you could do just what you want. Size of K8 tank was limited. As it fitted dead horizontal, inside the frame. It was also a combined petrol and oil tank.
