Fixing wiring

How was wiring fixed to the frame ex factory? My bike has a mix of zip ties and insulating tape, which isn't too pretty.

I believe these were the method originally used:

OK for the purist but much less efficient, (and discrete), than modern cable ties or neatly applied tape.

I prefer these rubber ones. But they don't seem to last very long. The rubber starts to perish. So I have some spare as replacements when needed.

OK, thanks. I'll stick with zip ties then.
Another quick question: does the club spares dept. sell headlamp reflector clips - the W shaped ones that hold the reflector in the headlamp rim? I couldn't see them.

Thanks Mick and Goldstar; I'll add W clips to my list of bits to get. We can't ride at the moment, so I'm catching up on fettling and cosmetics while we wait.

Greenhouse clips would have been quicker as we have a garden centre just a mile away. Unfortunately it's shut for now...
