Just got the rear wheel out and noticed the P.O. has put the Andrew Engineering bearing in, when studying the diagram from Andrews it shows the oil seal cup facing in on the speedo side with the oil seal itself next and the small retaining ring washer after that, am I reading this right?, because when I took it apart the oil seal was in the the oil seal cup followed by the retaining ring washer!, don't know if it makes any difference.
Thanks Arty

Some original parts were not used, some additional Andrew engineering parts were used.
This drawing will explain. Perhaps this is the diagram you are referring to ?

Your hub was wrongly assembled. The Andrews drawing shows the correct way. Plenty of wrecked hubs, speedo drives and cables through wrong assembly. There's a sectioned view in techical articles and lots of old threads on this. Do a search.
