'53 Model18 Frame Paint

Post by Stagman »

Hi, I am about to start the restoration involving a total strip down
The frame is in very good condition having been brush painted (plus grit) many times in the past
It needs stripping to bare metal then building up with etch primer and so on
My request for help is on the paint to use
I have ruled out Powder Coating as I want to do the work myself
I have looked at Acrylic Laquer which seems to be used for some frames
Other recommendations are for Celulose
I am happy to either brush or spray but I am looking for a high gloss quality finish
Many thanks

I've been using Tekaloid paint for the first time, brushed on. Seems good so far, with a high gloss finish.

Thanks Malcolm
I have heard of Tekaloid and I might give it a try
