ARE model 18 cylinder heads the same 1949 and 1950

Please can anyone tell me if there is a difference between the cylinder heads for these two years and if there is what is it?. I have two cast iron heads both with hairpin valve springs and to me they look the same. I was told by Armours , the exhaust pipe makers, that there was some difference and to specify which year when ordering an exhaust pipe. I had three barrels and two heads that came with my two basket cases. I have sorted which is the correct barrel for 1949 and now want to get the correct head sent off for blasting.

If you check the parts lists in the archive you will see they are both part number 014572, so no difference.
