i have the info from the club re tank details.
Has anyone tried doing this themselves ?,
Is there out there somewhere a company that supply's a type of transfer that can be stuck on.
I am in the process of spraying my tank, i suppose after its had its top coat tank lining can begin then a lacquer coat to seal the whole job.
welcome your thoughts

Re: tank detailing
I used classic transfers tank detailing on my 54 G80s. You have to use lots of water with some washing up liquid in and go very slowly indeed, only taking the backing off a small piece at a time, lots of patience and don't be afraid to lift and reset it as you go. It's fiddly and annoying but if you are patient you can get a good finish a thin rubber squeegee is good to get them set and then go over with a soft cloth and get them smooth. Compared to the cost of a painter doing it it's cheap as chips.

Yep I have used this on lining a tank easy to produce curves and narrow coach lines, you can mask of the rest of the finished paint then paint in your lines and leave a sharp edge with no bleed under the edge of the tape.
