So, we checked out the bike this morning. There was a tiny bit of muck under the jet block which was cleaned out. The filter also had a very small amount, also cleaned. The slide and choke slide were working fine, the needle hadn't become disconnected, and there was good fuel flow from the tank. The only thing I really didn't like was that the intake venturi was very long, disappearing into the hole in the trim panel. Removing the panel showed that it was almost touching the frame tube, which must have restricted airflow. I took it off and we had a 45 mile ride, no problems. Well, apart from the oil leak, which I think (hope) is the dynamo seal. And the rear shocks are shot.
