1938 Silver Streak 350cc.

Post by ianw1 »

All the control cables on the Silver Streak I've bought are quite tatty so I thought I'd treat the bike to some new cables.
I've drawn a blank putting in the part numbers in the Parts Section.
I need, all complete -
Front Brake
Clutch
Choke
Throttle
Adavance/Retard
Decompressor
Does any one know if these cables are available or will I have to make my own.
Many thanks.

You will not get these cables off the shelf. As you have all the cables, make yourself notes of inner and outer lengths plus what fittings each end.
Make your own or get J J Cables to make them for you. They will need to know the details that I have told you to make notes of.
The following from club spares should fit with little or no alteration. T800 Air/ Choke. Throttle T563U. Ignition T301. Keep your old cables, you may need to use some of the fittings or use at some time as a temporary spare.
