1960 G9 swing arm duplex frame
Hi Guys,
I am restoring my G9 and am getting the back end sorted. I notice the swing arm movement in the downward direction fouls the back egde of the rear footrest hanger part of the frame ,its as if the rear frame needs to be wider. Has anyone come cross this before I am sure this can't be right.
Thanks in anticipation.
regards rod

Surely when the machine is on it's wheels and the suspension is under some compression I- e machine weight plus rider there would be minimal downward movement of the swinging arm, and would not the rear suspension units fully extended not allow that amount of downward travell .

Hi
Like Bitza says - the dampers restrict the downward motion so contact doesn't happen.
