what is the purpose of the spacer between the two
drive side main bearings.......its dimensions seem "ideal" for limiting the oil supply to the outer main bearing. would it not be better to shim the outer race of the inner main bearing to achieve the desired spacing of the two bearing..... thus preventing bearing pre load on assembly.
