Cannot do much with just an old reg. no. which, if the bike still exists, it may now have a new reg. no.About all I could say is, HLO is a London reg. no. allocated in blocks 1946 to early 1947. Which means it was probably a 1946 or 47 model. Records are not known to have survived for that era.

There's no record of HLO 24 at Swansea DVLA.

Reg no. date will not positively date year of manufacture of the bike. It could have stood unsold for a time. Or be a WD bike sold off and re registered after the war.
Have you a picture, which would be nice to see, also keen eyes here give you a clue of the bikes year / model.
