Matchless G2 - YFV 722

I have received the following email:
I have an old style logbook (duplicate) for a 1962 250cc GR SCR Matchless mc YFV 722.
It was in the possession of xxxxxxxxx but he did not have the MC.
I would like to pass it on the current owner if the mc is still alive.
If anyone recognises this registration, please let me know.

Nothing comes up on the dvla site. Mind you judging by my application to register a bike they may all be asleep.
