There is a new Document from
The D V L A .
In this it says from today they are
"Consulting on the Closure of ALL Dvla local Centres ".
This is to HELP ???????????
with more direct infomation.

I am sure this has been going on for some time, likewise other things in the pipeline to make things 100% electronic. With no paper alternative. Check out all the reports inc FBHVC etc. I dont read everything if I did I would'nt remember it all.

Isn't it local dvla centres that have to physically check a vehicle if it is to be registered/re-registered or have I got this wrong, 'cos last time I did this (years ago) I'm sure somebody actually came out to one in those days.

Some still do but they use the likes of us clubs to validate and inspect now, been that way for years.

When registered a bike last year I had to trailer it to the nearest DVLA centre (Cardiff) just so they could check the frame and engine no's.

I was in the local dvla office the other day, there are petition forms on the counters to be signed against the closures.
It's all just riding motorbikes
