Hi Guys...just a quick one... The terminals on the coil are marked +ve and -ve.... the 2 leads to it are- Maroon-which is the feed from the alternator and Dark green which goes to the ignition switch...daft question perhaps but which goes where ?

Something not quite right with your statement, the maroon cable is the feed to the points and goes to + and the green from the ignition switch goes to -
All above is subject to my memory so please don't shout if it's wrong.

PS.
Just to confirm the negative supply wire (dark green) from the ignition switch goes to the - minus or SW connection on the coil while the negative feed (maroon) to the points connects to the + positive or CB connection, this is for + positive earth wiring as per manual.

Are you running positive or negative earth? + goes to whichever wire is positive.

Thanks Colin- yep- my mistake..the maroon goes to the points...combination of a lousy copy of the wiring diagram and my old eyesight!!!
