alan if you still need to place that order ad N3, thats the number given in the spares book as the pt. no. not 01234 or whatever.
N3 should be what they will have to enter in the computer to bring up the stock so they can sell one. Thats the trouble with computer systems, pt. no. has to be entered, stock is shown, and if in stock one can be sold, this of course deducts one from stock. Thats why it all went wrong. I recently went to VW for a part for my Skoda, I could not tell them the VW parts no. So they could not sell me one. The days of giving make year and model no longer apply. I recently wanted an electrical pt. 2 were in stock, but the stock bin was empty. I was told, untill we sale the 2 in stock ( which were not found ) we cannot even order in more. ??? I asked how do I get one then, go to another store or do it online, was all I got.

As I do for my 350 model 8. I find Champion plugs rubbish! or is it just me??

I have had issues with all of them. When I worked for a Ford dealership some were brought bulk order to sell through the parts shop. We had a fairly high failure rate across the range.
So i do not think any one make has the upper hand.
Bets to just use your favourite and carry a spare.
