Matchless G2 mudguards

Can anyone help with where I can get a front and rear mudguard to suit my lightweight G2, 1966 model CSR. I am after a pair of alloy mudguards and it does not seem to be an easy item to get sorted.

Would any members have a drawing to indicate the sizes?

It's to fit on the 17" wheels, heavey duty forks on the front.

Also any help on photos of the mudguard bridging plate and mudguard stays, again any drawings or sizes?

Ring Steven at AMC Classics, very helpful, I had a pair of alloy mudguards plus a bridge last year but was for 18 inch wheel, worth a try though.

Thought all 250 lightweights were 17" wheels, I have a 66 G2CSR somewhere. If pics etc are needed.

Before I get corrected CS had 19" wheels not aware of any 18" though

The 18in were for my Model 16, should have put that in, the CS did have 19in wheel, the 350 lightweight had 18in wheels, sorry for any confussion

I would'nt mind 18" wheels in some of my bikes. I really have to lay over a bit to touch ground. Thats not alway easy if the road cambers steeply or pot hole right where your foot needs to go. That also depends if her on the back stays still.

My understanding was that the standard 250's had 17" wheels the 350's had 18" wheels.

The mudguards would follow these radii

I cannot recall what the 250s had with the HW forks!

It can be checked with sales cats etc Ian, all 250's had 17" except trails had 19" for ground clearence I guess. I do believe 350 lightweights had 18" & circa 1963 other models then went from 19" to 18" ( I have a period book for all marques & models which gives details , when models were introduced/discontinued and any major changes made, so easier for me to check such details as wheel sizes, but knowing what they stated with still needs to be checked first. )

If anyone does have any photos or pictures of the CSR lightweight then it would be of help to identify mudgaurd stays etc..
